.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 148 PM CDT Thu Jul 3 2025
Upper level ridging over the Plains is slowly working its way east
by this weekend along with building sfc high pressure. We will
remain dry through the 4th of July holiday and through the early
weekend. Temperatures will be back up into the 90s through
early next week.
The ridge begins to break down by Sunday with lowering heights and a
shortwave trof passing through. This brings back precip chances
along with a front that stalls out across the area. As the sfc high
moves off to the east we get southerly return flow at the sfc
bringing back Gulf moisture. This along with general troughiness
aloft and the stalled out front will lead to daily rain chances next
week. Right now PWATs are around 2" which could lead to some heavy
rainfall at times.

.AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z FRIDAY/...

clear up shortly after sunrise. Winds will again be light and
variable tomorrow and with more scattered cumulus.
