- A warming trend begins this weekend and continues into early
  next week, followed by increasing chances of rain by the
  middle of next week.

Issued at 206 AM CST Sat Feb 22 2025

An upper level disturbance is progged to move through the Quad
State today. Mid layer moisture and associated stratus is
moving in from the southwest this morning. Mostly cloudy skies
will continue into the morning but should begin to dissipate by
the afternoon. Not expecting any chances of precipitation today
given the layer of dry air just off the surface. Temperatures
will be on the rise through the weekend and into next week.
Highs today should rise to above freezing with mid 30`s to lower
40`s. We see widespread 40`s by Sunday and into the 50`s and
60`s next week. A disturbance will pass by to our south late
Sunday into early Monday. Not expecting any impacts from this
system since it remains well to the south. Our next chance of
rain arrives Wednesday into Thursday associated with a frontal
passage. Temperatures cool off slightly behind the front with
highs cooling off into the lower 50`s and lows dropping to
around the freezing mark.

High pressure will remain centered across the region today and
tonight offering VFR conditions. Winds will increase from the
southwest around 5 kts before becoming light tonight. Other than
mid level clouds early in the TAF period, mostly clear skies is
expected for the latter half of the TAF period.
