  the 90s for some by Monday.

- Expected to remain dry through the weekend with no rain

Early morning satellite imagery shows continued cloud cover in place
across eastern Idaho as a weak shortwave sweeps through the area but
these clouds should be nearly gone by the time the sun comes up this
morning. High pressure will build over the area through the weekend
keeping things dry under mostly clear skies. Winds this afternoon
will increase briefly to around 10-15 mph but outside of the
afternoon, they look light and variable. Temperatures will continue
to increase as the ridge amplifies but models continue to hold off
on the warmest temps until after the weekend. Regardless, still
expecting low to mid 80s across many lower elevation valleys with
maybe some upper 80s making it into the Magic Valley which is about
7-10 degrees above normal for early June.

.LONG TERM /SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH FRIDAY/...

500mb heights appear to peak on Monday which appears to be the first
of two days where temps in parts of the Snake Plain and Magic Valley
could likely top the 90 degree mark. Tuesday may end up being even
just a touch warmer and the forecast temps have been nudged up a
touch both days as the NBM cold bias seems to continue. As the ridge
starts to break down on Tuesday, expect to see increasing cloud
cover and precipitation chances returning Tuesday. Pattern looks to
remain unsettled from Wednesday and beyond as a broad trough settles
over the Pacific NW allowing a few weak impulses to move through the
area bringing diurnal shower/storm chances across all of eastern
Idaho, especially higher terrain zones. Temps for the mid to late
part of the work week do drop some with increased cloud cover and
broad U/L troughing.

Expect VFR conditions to continue as high pressure remains in place.
A few mid to high clouds will be possible this afternoon and
evening, clearing out again overnight. Afternoon gusts up to 20kts
will be possible, mainly for BYI/PIH/IDA, otherwise light terrain
driven wind patterns are expected.

A dry weather pattern remains in place through the weekend as high
pressure builds over the area. This will send temperatures
continuing upward through the weekend and into early next week with
no precipitation forecast through the day Monday. On Tuesday, it
appears the ridge will begin to break down and this is when daily
shower/storm chances look to return to eastern Idaho and continue
through the remainder of next week. The warm temperatures over the
weekend will allow for afternoon RHs to drop to around 15-25 percent
each day helping to dry things out across the region.
