.SYNOPSIS...
Dry weather will continue with breezy conditions across the
mountains and deserts through Monday. Little day to day changes
will occur otherwise through much of the work week with the
potential for warmer weather to enter the picture sometime around
Friday and Saturday.

SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTIES...

Low clouds are beginning to stick again near the coast with inland
areas seeing clear skies this afternoon. Winds aren`t too gusty
over the desert and mountain passes for now with readings near
20-35 mph, but windier conditions should come into the picture
through the evening hours. The marine layer will build again
quickly, leading to cloudier skies closer to the coast later this
afternoon. Parts of San Diego County look to see cloudiest
conditions first, then filling into parts of Orange County and the
Inland Empire overnight, per HREF.

A weak troughing pattern will maintain itself by Monday as a
system passes by to the north, lingering into Tuesday and
Wednesday. During this period of time, we will see minimal changes
in the day to day weather pattern with night & morning low clouds
west of the mountains and mostly clear skies inland. By Thursday,
models hint at an area of low pressure beginning to form near
SoCal. Models are beginning to have a slightly better consensus of
the system pushing south of our region by this time into Friday.
If this scenario occurs, offshore flow aloft will move down to the
surface, leading to downsloping winds and warming for the western
valleys. NBM percentiles still show near a 10 degree spread high
temperatures on Friday for places like Ontario and El Cajon. If
the low tracks further north, expect greater onshore flow and
cooler temperatures. Highs in the valleys west of the mountains
may approach 100 in areas of the Inland Empire, or stick mainly in
the 80s and lower 90s across the valleys. The forecast movement
for the low is still greatly uncertain as some models have it
wobbling over the same area, some moving it more inland, which if
the latter occurs, will bring a halt to the hotter than normal
temperatures that may impact the region. We will also watch for
precipitation that may be associated with this system across
inland areas, though model guidance shows relatively low chances
of occurrence.

.AVIATION...
242030Z...Coasts/Valleys...After this morning`s low clouds cleared,
SCT-BKN clouds have already pushed back ashore over the coasts,
based 2500-3300ft MSL. These clouds will slowly increase in coverage
into the late afternoon/evening, favoring San Diego County
initially, but eventually spreading through the entire coastal basin
by 12z. Bases tonight should lower some compared to this
morning/afternoon, sitting near 1500-2200ft MSL. Clouds eventually
scatter back to the waters by 17-18z Monday morning.

Mountains/Deserts...Strong west winds over mountains, passes and
desert slopes with gusts locally to 35-50 kts expected after 23z,
weakening through Monday morning. Mod up/downdrafts in lee of
mountains with very patchy BLDU possible, locally reducing VIS down
to 3-5SM at times. Otherwise, clear skies and VFR conditions
prevail.

.MARINE...
Gusts 20-25 knots Monday afternoon and evening in the outer coastal
waters near San Clemente Island before subsiding early Tuesday
morning. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for the outer waters
and contains more details. Lighter winds follow Tuesday through late
week with afternoon breezes 10-15 knots.

.BEACHES...
Long period (17-18 seconds) south-southwest swell peaks this
afternoon/evening, with surf of 4-6 feet and high rip current risk
through Monday. Sets up to 7 feet possible along southwest facing
beaches. Surf begins to subside on Tuesday. A Beach Hazard Statement
remains in effect through Monday night and contains more details.
Additionally, this elevated surf combined with relatively high tides
nearing 7 ft could lead to localized minor tidal overflow, peaking
Monday evening.

     County Coastal Areas-San Diego County Coastal Areas.

     Wind Advisory until 3 AM PDT Monday for San Gorgonio Pass near
     Banning.

PZ...Small Craft Advisory from 2 PM Monday to 2 AM PDT Tuesday for
     Waters from San Mateo Point to the Mexican Border Extending
     10 to 60 nm out including San Clemente Island.
