.Synopsis...
Dry and seasonably warm weather continues into the weekend. Gusty
southerly winds will bring elevated fire weather conditions
across portions of the Valley on Sunday. Chances for light
rain/mountain snow showers and isolated thunderstorms across
interior NorCal Monday and Tuesday. A pattern change to cooler
and unsettled weather is expected moving into early next week.

* Today:
-Periodic late day breezy onshore winds.
-Dry and warm weather with temperatures 10-15 degrees above
normal under upper level ridging.
-Probability of high temperatures 90 degrees F or higher: 60-100%
throughout the Valley.
* Sunday - Tuesday:
-A trend toward cooler and more unsettled weather is expected,
with a weather system arriving Sunday into early next week.
-Gusty southerly winds Sunday, remaining breezy Monday and
Tuesday. Probability of gusts 40 mph or higher: 50-90% northern
and central Sacramento Valley, and northeast foothills on
Sunday. Strongest winds along and east of I-5, mainly from Chico
northward. Wind Advisory is in effect from 2 PM Sunday through 1
AM Monday for the northeast foothills and the northern/central
Sacramento Valley.
-Elevated Fire Weather conditions Sunday as gusty winds and low
RH overlap, particularly across the northern/central Sacramento
Valley.
-Light rain and mountain snow showers expected as the system
moves through.
-48-Hour Probability of Rain > 0.25": 50-80% across northern
Sacramento Valley, northern Sierra north of Hwy 50, and
adjacent foothills.
-Isolated Thunderstorm Probability: 10-30% Monday and Tuesday,
highest across north/central Sacramento Valley and along higher
terrain.
-48-Hour Probability of Snowfall > 2": 10-40% along
Sierra/southern Cascades above 5500 feet, highest chances north
of I-80.
* Mid to Late Next Week:
-Generally dry weather, with temperatures warming to near normal.

and northeast foothills from 2 PM Sunday to 1 AM Monday.

VFR conditions across all TAF sites next 24 hours. Wind speeds
generally 12 kts or less in the Valley and 15-20 kts or less in
the Delta and Sierra Nevada through 12Z Sunday. Gusty southerly
winds then develop after 12Z with speeds of 15-25 kts in the lower
elevations with gusts 20-40 kts, and 30-50 kts gusts over the
Sierra out of the southwest.
