.SYNOPSIS...
Dry conditions are expected for Thanksgiving and into next week,
with cold, frosty mornings into the weekend.

.DISCUSSION...
Clear skies dominate tonight and will continue into the morning,
as ridging continues to build into the area. Breezy north to north
east winds should limit fog development across most of the
Valley, and cold morning temperatures west of I-5 today and
Thursday. Still, on the eastern side of the Valley, the NBM has a
40 to 95% probability of temperatures below 36 degrees. Chances
increase slightly on Friday, as those northerly winds in the
Valley die down, generally 50 to 95% across the Valley. These
temperatures could impact pets, plants, and those without adequate
heating, as well as cause widespread frost. For those who may be
outside on Thanksgiving morning for races or other outdoor events,
be sure to dress adequately for the cold weather. Saturday
morning looks to be a little warmer, though there is still a 30
to 85% probability of temperatures below 36 degrees in the
Valley. Otherwise, expect dry and calm weather across the area
into the weekend.

.EXTENDED DISCUSSION (Sunday THROUGH Wednesday)...

Ridging is expected to continue into the weekend and further into
next week. Generally dry conditions with light to breezy winds
and near normal to normal temperatures are expected through mid
next week.

.AVIATION...

VFR conditions expected next 24 hours, except for local MVFR
conditions due to patchy BR in the northern San Joaquin Valley
until 15Z Wednesday. Locally breezy northerly wind gusts up to
15-25 kts in the Valley through 00Z Thursday. Otherwise, surface
winds less than 10 kts in the Valley. Northeasterly/easterly wind
gusts up to 15-25 kts over the Sierra through 18Z Wednesday.
MVFR/local IFR conditions in BR/FG from KSMF southward after 06Z
Thursday.
