.SYNOPSIS...
For the coast and valleys, slow warming will continue into
Saturday followed by slow cooling into Tuesday. For the deserts,
slow warming will continue into Monday and Tuesday. For the coast
and valleys, high temperatures on the warmest day on Saturday
will be near to around 5 degrees above average with the warmer
days for the deserts around 5 degrees above average. The marine
layer will mostly fluctuate between 1500 and 2000 feet deep with
night and morning coastal low clouds spreading into the western
valleys late each night.

.DISCUSSION...FOR EXTREME SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA INCLUDING ORANGE...
SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTIES...

.SHORT TERM (Thursday through Saturday)...
High pressure to the south will continue the slow warming trend
into Saturday for the coast and valleys and into the deserts into
Monday and Tuesday. With the warming, Saturday high temperatures
will be near to around 5 degrees above average for the coast and
valleys with the deserts a few to around 5 degrees above average.
High temperatures on Saturday will range from the lower 70s near
the coast to the upper 80s to mid 90s with 106 to 112 for the
lower deserts.

A marine layer near 2000 feet deep this morning will decrease to
1500 to 2000 feet deep for Friday into next week with night and
morning coastal low clouds spreading into the western valleys late
each night.

.LONG TERM (Sunday through Tuesday)...
A weak upper level low pressure system off the California coast on
Saturday will move slowly eastward to a position along the
California coast on Tuesday. This will bring slight cooling to the
coast and valleys for Sunday through Tuesday while the deserts
continue to slowly warm through Monday with not much change
for Tuesday. For Tuesday, high temperatures will range from the
lower 70s near the coast to the mid 80s to mid 90s for the Inland
Empire with 108 to 112 for the lower deserts.

.AVIATION...
260900....Coast/Valleys...Low clouds based 1200-1500ft MSL with tops
to 2000ft have filled into the coastal and valley areas, with some
patchiness reaching the Inland Empire. Slight further inland spread
through 12z with a 70% chance for a CIG at KONT beginning around
11z. Sporadic VIS restrictions down to 3SM, primarily for inland
areas, through 17z. Clearing likely to occur to the immediate coast
by 17-18z, possibly lingering along the beaches through 20-21z. 40%
of clouds not clearing the San Diego County beaches at all. Low
clouds push inland again tonight generally after 03z Friday with
lower bases closer to 800-1200ft MSL.

.Mountains/Deserts...Clear skies with unrestricted VIS through
Thursday evening.
