By 8:00 p.m. ADT tonight quasi-stationary low 986 mb located
over Labrador.


Marine Weather Statement

Issued 9:45 AM ADT 16 April 2025 A low pressure system over the Gulf of St. Lawrence will move to lie
over Labrador this evening, where it will remain nearly stationary
until Friday. Strong to gale force southeasterlies ahead of the low
will shift to strong to gale force west to southwesterlies in its
wake.

Marine interests are advised that gale warnings are in effect for
Gulf - Magdalen and Anticosti.

Outlook for the start-up of the eastern shore lobster fishery.

Friday..Winds west 15 knots becoming southwest 20 knots in the
afternoon. Sea state 1 to 2 metres.

Saturday..Winds southwest 20 knots becoming southwest 25 to 30 knots
in the afternoon. Sea state 1 to 2 metres increasing to 2 to 3
metres.

Sunday..Winds southwest 25 becoming northwest 25 in the afternoon.
Sea state 2 to 3 metres.
