Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:34 AM PDT 8 June 2025 A ridge of high pressure extending from Haida Gwaii to Northern Explorer will persist this weekend. Northwesterly gales will continue over west coast Vancouver Island and Southeastern Explorer for much of the weekend.
As the ridge axis veers today, northwesterly gales will develop through Johnstone Strait in the afternoon. Northwest winds over Strait of Georgia will also increase to strong to marginal gale Force this evening.
