Bowie.
At 4:00 a.m. PST today frontal system located over western Explorer.
By 2:00 p.m. PST today departing frontal system located over
southern Vancouver Island.
By 4:00 p.m. PST Sunday low located over the offshore waters.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued 3:44 AM PST 22 February 2025 A departing low over Northern Bowie is generating southerly gale
force winds over northern and central waters early this morning.
A frontal system located near the western border of Explorer early
this morning will transit across Explorer and lie over Vancouver
Island this afternoon. Ahead of this frontal system, southerly gales
will develop across southern waters except southerly storm force near
the headlands of Vancouver Island. Southerly gales will be maintained
through this afternoon over northern and central waters. In the wake
of the frontal system, winds will veer to light moderate southwest
over southern waters and strong to gales southwest over northern and
central waters tonight.
On Sunday, a low pressure system will move into the offshore waters.
Winds accompanying this low will rise to southwest strong to gale
force over the offshore waters. There is uncertainty as to the exact
track of the low as it moves towards the coast at this time.
