Technical Marine SynopsisIssued 9:30 PM PDT 3 June 2025 Tonight and Wednesday At 9:30 p.m. PDT tonight building ridge located west of the offshore waters. By 5:00 p.m. PDT Wednesday building ridge located from Haida Gwaii to Explorer.
Marine Weather StatementIssued 9:24 PM PDT 3 June 2025 A ridge of high pressure will continue moving slowly southeastward through Explorer tonight. Strong northwesterlies will persist west of Vancouver Island tonight. Strong to gale force westerly winds will persist through Juan de Fuca Strait early this evening to Wednesday morning.
By Wednesday morning, another ridge of high pressure will build west of the offshore waters toward North Coast. As the ridge strengthens and moves southeastward to Queen Charlotte Sound, gale force northwesterlies will develop along the west side of Vancouver Island by late Wednesday afternoon.
