Marine Weather StatementIssued 3:47 PM PDT 9 May 2025 A trough over Bowie late this afternoon is generating occasional Gale force southeasterlies across Dixon Entrance East and Northern Hecate Strait. These winds will ease this evening.
Southerly gale force winds will also develop over Dixon Entrance West and northern sections of west coast Haida Gwaii this evening and ease overnight.
On Saturday, a trough over Explorer will moving towards Vancouver Island. Winds south of the Brooks Peninsula will rise to southeast gale force late Saturday afternoon. Winds will veer to southwest strong in the wake of the trough Saturday evening.
