Elevated surf combined with high tides could lead to minor tidal overflow. * WHERE...Orange County Coastal Areas. * WHEN...Through 1 PM PST this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Strong rip currents and hazardous swimming conditions for inexperienced swimmers. Minor tidal overflow during high tides. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tide at Newport Bay Entrance today will be 6.91 feet at 9:18 AM. Information: A beach hazards statement is issued when threats such as rip currents and other hazards such as minor tidal overflow are likely. Caution should be used when in or near the water. |
