Areas Affected: Humboldt, CA - Mendocino, CA - Trinity, CA
 
Alert Details:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of northwest California, including the following
counties, southeastern Humboldt, northwestern Mendocino and
southwestern Trinity.

* WHEN...Until 415 AM PST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 123 AM PST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area through 5 AM this morning. This additional rain
will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Garberville, Richardson Grove State Park, Laytonville,
Alderpoint, Richardson Grove, Redway, Ruth, Leggett,
Dinsmore, Bridgeville, Fort Seward, Zenia, Blocksburg,
Benbow, Miranda and Piercy.

Information:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Wind Advisory WIND ADVISORY

Alert Details:
* WHAT...South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...Mendocino Coast.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Wind gusts will be particularly strong along windward
ridges and exposed coastal headlands. There is an increased risk
of tree branches and other debris on roadways. Gusty winds will
blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and
a few power outages may result.

Information:
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Secure outdoor objects.

...The Flood Watch is extended for the following rivers in
California...

Russian River near Hopland affecting Southeastern Mendocino
Interior zone.

For the Russian River...including Hopland...flooding is possible.

* WHAT...Flooding is possible.

* WHERE...Russian River near Hopland.

* WHEN...From Friday morning to early Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Flooding of Highway 175 is expected at the
approaches to the Russian River bridge. Expect flooding of
cropland on the right bank of river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:45 AM PST Thursday the stage was 3.6 feet.
- Forecast...Flood stage may be reached early tomorrow
afternoon.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

Information:
If you are in the watch area, remain alert to possible flooding.

Residents and those with interests near the river should monitor
rising water levels and be prepared for possible Flood Warnings.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

Alert Details:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...A portion of northwest California, including the Mendocino
Coast, Northeastern Mendocino Interior, Northwestern Mendocino
Interior, Southeastern Mendocino Interior and Southwestern
Mendocino Interior.

* WHEN...Through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...There will be an increased risk of rock and land slides
along roadways. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.
Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are
possible. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood
with more heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- An additional 4 to 10 inches of rain is expected to fall
tonight through early Friday.
